Dr. Lennie provides personal written pediatric guidance to parents through this website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use childdev21.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The controller of your personal information is Dr. Lennie (“we”, “us”), Tel Aviv, Israel. Email: info@childdev21.com. If you have any question about this policy or about how your information is handled, please write to us at that address.
2. What information we collect
Information you give us when you submit a question or request a consultation:
- Your name and email address, and any other contact details you choose to provide.
- Information about your child that you choose to include, such as age, developmental stage, symptoms, behaviour, feeding, sleep or school situation, and any documents or images you attach.
- The content of your question and of any follow-up correspondence.
Payment information. Consultations are paid through an external payment page operated by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment was completed, together with the associated name, email and transaction reference. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and operating system, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. The site also stores a small number of cookies needed for it to function and to remember accessibility preferences. See section 7.
3. Why we use your information, and our legal basis
- To provide the guidance you asked for, prepare and send Dr. Lennie’s written response, and correspond with you about it. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
- To process your payment and keep the records required of us. Legal basis: performance of our agreement, and compliance with legal obligations.
- To keep the website secure, available and working correctly, and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable service.
- To handle a complaint, a refund request or a legal claim. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in defending our rights, and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.
4. Health information about your child
The information you submit about your child is likely to include health data, which receives special protection under the GDPR. We process it only in order to answer your question, and only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to submit the information to us (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to info@childdev21.com. Withdrawal does not affect guidance already given, and we may still need to retain records as described in section 8.
This service provides educational information and personal written guidance. It does not replace an in-person medical examination, and it is not intended for emergencies.
5. Who we share information with
- Our hosting and email providers, which store and transmit the data on our behalf.
- Our payment provider, which processes the transaction and holds the payment details.
- Professional advisers, or an authority or court, where we are required to share information by law.
Each provider acts on our instructions or under its own legal obligations, and none of them is permitted to use your information for its own purposes.
6. International transfers
Dr. Lennie is based in Israel and the service is offered to parents in a number of countries, so your information may be transferred outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area. Israel has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data. Where information is transferred to a provider in another country, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies it needs in order to work, together with cookies that remember accessibility preferences you set yourself. A full and current list, with the purpose and lifetime of each cookie, is set out in our Cookie Policy.
8. How long we keep your information
- Consultation correspondence and the information you submitted: for as long as needed to provide and support the guidance, and afterwards for the period during which a question or claim about it could reasonably arise.
- Payment and accounting records: for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- Technical logs: for a short period only, in line with our hosting provider’s retention settings.
When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Security
Access to consultation correspondence is limited to Dr. Lennie. The website is served over an encrypted connection, access to the administration area is restricted and protected, and our providers are chosen for their security practices. No service can be completely secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict or object to the way we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@childdev21.com. We will respond within one month. If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may complain to your local data protection authority; in Israel, to the Privacy Protection Authority.
11. Children
This website is intended for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Information about a child reaches us only because a parent or guardian chooses to send it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
